Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: January 1, 2026

Welcome to Cardboard Toy World. By accessing our website, purchasing our digital blueprints, or using our instructional materials, you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully, as they contain important information regarding your legal rights and our intellectual property.

1. Intellectual Property and Design Rights

Cardboard Toy World is built on proprietary engineering, mechanical linkages, and geometric design. All content, including but not limited to digital blueprints (PDFs), instructional videos, website copy, and the specific mechanical assemblies depicted therein, are the exclusive intellectual property of Cardboard Toy World.

Patent and Design Notice: The unique three-dimensional geometric structures, mechanical linkages, and functional assemblies taught in our materials embody proprietary design work. Cardboard Toy World actively protects its innovations and may have design patents or utility patents pending on specific mechanical builds. Your purchase grants you access to this knowledge but does not transfer any ownership or underlying intellectual property rights to you.

2. Permitted Use (The "Maker" License)

When you purchase or download a blueprint from Cardboard Toy World, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the materials for personal, non-commercial purposes, or within a single educational classroom setting.

  • You may use the blueprints to construct the physical toys for yourself, your family, or your direct students.
  • You may modify the visual aesthetics (coloring, painting, or decorating) of the physical toys you build.

3. Strict Prohibition on Commercial Exploitation

To protect the integrity of our business and our intellectual property, the following actions are strictly prohibited unless you possess a signed, written Commercial Licensing Agreement from Cardboard Toy World:

  • No Digital Distribution: You may not share, forward, upload, or distribute our digital blueprint PDFs or video links to others.
  • No Physical Manufacturing: You may not manufacture, mass-produce, or sell the physical toys built from our blueprints.
  • No Reverse Engineering: You may not trace, reverse-engineer, or slightly modify our blueprints or mechanical geometries to create competing templates, kits, or digital downloads.
  • No Unauthorized Workshops: You may not charge a fee to host workshops, camps, or classes using our materials without an explicit commercial license. (Enrichment teachers: Please contact us for exclusive licensing options).

4. Assumption of Risk and Liability

Cardboard toymaking requires the use of sharp tools, including scissors, craft knives, and bamboo skewers, as well as adhesives. By using our blueprints and videos, you acknowledge that making these toys involves inherent risks. Cardboard Toy World provides safety guidelines and "Pro Tips," but we are not responsible or liable for any personal injury, property damage, or harm that occurs during the construction or use of our toys. Adult supervision is required for minors.

5. Modifications to Terms

Cardboard Toy World reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this website. Your continued use of the site or our materials constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
